But here I am, back again!
So as you might have noticed, I don't post all that frequently which is silly as I always have lots of ideas but there we go! I am going to be making more of an effort to put more content on this lil ol blog of mine!
As I have posted before I got a snazzy new camera so a lot of the posts Ill be doing will be very picture heavy while Im trying to work this thing out!
I am loving the quality of the pictures and like that I can have a lot more control over the image than I would if I used my little digital camera.
Take a look at what Ive done recently:
Like I said, I'm just starting out trying to use this thing but I think I'm doing ok (with the tinyest little help from Photoshop!)
I'd love any feedback or comments on the pictures as I'm always looking to improve.
Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Quick DIY to Pretty Up Your Camera Strap!
I live in Bristol, did I ever mention that? Its a pretty cool place to live as theres always something going on especially in the summer time the weekends are full of festivals and lots of free things to do.
This weekend is no different as its time for the International Balloon Fiesta (thats right, fiesta) so it is the perfect chance to head somewhere and watch the mass exodus of balloons head out over the city. Its also a chance for some amazing pictures. Now as you might know from my previous post, the boyfriend and I went out to get my birthday present a few weeks ago which just happened to be a DSLR camera and we had a deal that I could use it for the next 24 hours after which it would then go in the loft until my birthday.
Turns out the boyfriend is a bit of a softie and is letting me have it again today to take pretty pictures!
The strap that comes with the camera is pretty standard and being someone who is not keen on things being standard I had to pretty up a little:
This literally took less than 5 minutes and cost me nothing (YAY!)
Heres how:
You will need:
Camera with the strap
A long headscarf (mine was from Accessorize years ago)
To start just tie one end of the scarf to the end of the camera strap:
Then, wrap the scarf around the strap making sure there are no gaps and the side you want is showing:
Tie the other ends together:
TADAAA all done!
Its so easy to do and because theres no sewing or anything involved you can change it up as and when the mood takes you!
Quick ideas that make things pretty make me happy!
Have a fab weekend!

Yes, Chef
I've been sooo ill this week which means I've had a lot of time to think. To be honest, most of my thoughts are nonsense and really shouldnt be repeated but I also thought about all the food I wanted to make but havent got around to doing so I figured if I put it out here then I might actually get on with it!
Now before I get started I will just put it out there that most of these will be desserts. I love them and thats all there is to it!

I'm totally into avocado at the moment, mainly because I didnt think I liked it before I tried it again recently and found out how healthy they are.
Now I want to fry them and add cheese.
Key Lime Pie From BBC Food
I love lemons and limes. I also love pie. Tadaaa Key Lime Pie!
Chocolate Brownies - Hummingbird Bakery
I love non-fussy brownies with no nuts or anything else in it but yummy chocolate so when I got the Hummingbird Bakery cookbook for Christmas I knew I had to make these!
One ingredient banana ice-cream (two if you add peanut butter!)
The boyfriend loves peanut butter, bananas and ice-cream so this will be perfect for him and super easy for me!
Strawberry jam recipe from Woman and Home
I really love the idea of making jams and chutneys to give to people at Christmas and to put with scones (see below) so I thought this recipe should ease me into it!
Mary Berry's Devonshire scones recipe
Mary Berrys victoria sponge recipe is amazing so I am in no doubt that her scones will be delicious!!
There you have it! I'm hoping to feel better this weekend and will give one of these a shot!
Have a great weekend!

Say Cheese!
This weekend was so lovely. We spent Saturday in the centre of town by the waterfront where they had a big festival on. We watched a Newfoundland rescue demonstration which justified my love for them even more as did this little fluffball!
After mooching around for a while The Boyfriend suggested we head to a camera shop to see what I could have for my birthday whilst keeping in the budget we set each other. So in we mooched, we asked a few questions and shown a few cameras. I tried some out. I liked one a lot. After that it became a blur and next thing I know Im walking out with a new (to me) camera!
There were strict conditions in place however. I was not allowed the camera until my birthday, one whole month away! MY condition was that I was allowed to play with it for 24 hours before it was put in the loft safely out of my reach!
I took it everywhere for the next 24 hours and its safe to say Im so happy with it!
Here are some of the pictures I took:
Hope you've been enjoying the sun!!

Little Flower
This weekend I went to my Mums house so she could provide me with nourishment in the form of homemade pizza *YUM*.
While we were waiting for them to be cooked I thought I would have a go at making a flower out of fabric. After looking at loads of blogs and tutorials online I felt ready to give it a go.
It wasnt too hard and luckily didnt need a lot of patience just some twisting and hot glueing. While I was trying this Mum left the room and then put three boxes of beads on the table as some kind of obvious hint that I should incorporate at least one bead on the flower. I glued one to the middle and the flower was done.
We looked at it.
We marveled at its cuteness.
I realised it needed to be in my hair.
And it was done.
Cute right?
I did a load more too..
Good news for you is that you can now buy them from my Etsy shop HERE (White to go on shortly)
I will making more of these for sure, they are so pretty when they are finished and look fab in my hair!
What have you made this week?

Currently Listening...
The Boyfriend finally persuaded me to watch Walk The Line last weekend. The only reason I needed persuading is because he hadnt really sold it to me as a good film that I would enjoy.
I loved it.
Its such a great film, Johnny Cashs' story is amazing and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter was fab!
I have to admit I hadnt listened to any Johnny Cash before (except Ring of Fire but then, who hasn't heard that?!) and I hadn't even heard of June Carter but now I'm kind of hooked!
Needless to say The Boyfriend was shocked when he came home to me blasting out Get Rhythm and dancing around!
So here I am, spreading the love. Enjoy.
